Jessica Sloan is the founder of First Take, where she helps actors understand the business side of their careers and make informed, strategic decisions. With a background in talent representation and casting, her work focuses on giving actors clarity, structure, and direction in an industry that often lacks it.

An Austin native with a degree in Broadcasting from Texas State University, Jessica has been an active member of Women in Film and Television Austin, serving as Secretary from Fall 2022 through June 2024 and now as Community Partnerships Chair. She is passionate about being part of WIFT because of its focus on connection, access, and supporting creatives through community.

She is a graduate of the Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL) program and is committed to continued learning, with a focus on marketing and business strategy to better support the artists she works with.
